As my previous post indicated, I’m finally back after all those exams and some time off to get some things done (and also some partying, I have to admit). Anywayz, I’m ready like spaghetti, so I want to share two Egyptian hip-hop music videos with you, that my friend Ahmed from Cairo sent me some time ago, because as he told me that’s also the topic of the music: Party & be happy.
By the way, I also used some parts of the first track for my Cairo video.
The test period at university is occupying almost all of my time right now. (Therefore no posts in the last weeks from me. Sorry!!!)
But after a written test this morning, this was a heck of an e-mail to get, because it really uplifted my mood (Propz go out to the sender). So, me thinks the best thing is to share it with you, so maybe it could have the same effect for you. Or at least, it’ll just give you a good laugh.

*Two aliens*
Two aliens landed in the Arizona desert near a gas station that was closed for the night. They approached one of the gas pumps and the younger alien addressed it saying, ‘Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace. Take us to your leader.’
The gas pump, of course, didn’t respond.
The younger alien became angry at the lack of response. The older alien said, ‘I’d calm down if I were you.’ The younger alien ignored the warning and repeated his greeting. Again, there was no response.
Annoyed by what he perceived to be the pump’s haughty attitude, he drew his ray gun and said impatiently, ‘Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace. Do not ignore us this way! Take us to your leader or I will fire!’
The older alien again warned his comrade saying, ‘You probably don’t want todo that! I really don’t think you should make him mad’.
‘Rubbish,’ replied the cocky, young alien. He aimed his weapon at the pump and opened fire.
There was a huge explosion. A massive fireball roared towards them and blew the younger alien off his feet and deposited him a burnt, smoking mess about 200 yards away in a cactus patch.
Half an hour passed. When he finally regained consciousness, he refocused his three eyes, straightened his bent antenna, and looked dazedly at the older, wiser alien who was standing over him shaking his big, green head. ‘What a ferocious creature!’ exclaimed the young, fried alien. ‘He damn near killed me! How did you know he was so dangerous?’
The older alien leaned over, placed a friendly feeler on his crispy friend and replied, ‘If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my intergalactic travels, you don’t want to mess with a guy who can loop his penis over his shoulder twice and then stick it in his ear.
The brand UNDRCRWN will release an amazing collaboration mixing Basketball with Martial Arts.
On the 15th of April they will start releasing a capsule collection of carricature Bruce Lee T-shirts and sweatshirts, as a fan of both Basketball and Bruce Lee I think this will be a must cop for me ^^.
Heres a little videoclip directed by McG (Terminator Salvation etc.) and produced by popculture artist Takashi Murakami (LV etc. I have some of his shortfilms up on this blog)
It features Kirsten Dunst running around the electronic shopping otaku district of Tokyo called Akihabara singing the song “Turning Japanese” (made famous by the vapors) with a really colorful outfit on.

When I was in the Philippines for about a year I didnt really notice that there was any local hip hop scene at all but there is one.
Check out this little documentary about the local street artists, unfortunately without subtitles so in order to understand something you have to speak tagalog but still quite watchable.
